Timing stack that works

Timing stack: arrive 60–90 minutes before sunset for parking and position; enjoy golden hour and blue hour; then hold quietly for any penguin return. Do not burn the afternoon on Gibson Steps if dusk is the prize — stairs tax energy you need for patience after dark.

A common planning range is roughly 10–25 minutes after sunset, but wild animals do not punch a clock. Build a buffer into dinner plans. If nothing appears, the blue-hour stacks still count as a successful evening.

Kit for dusk and the walk back
