Reset in Port Campbell town when the group needs toilets, food, fuel or a morale break. Town services turn a failed first attempt into a second clean approach. Why coach peaks and golden hour fill first

Coach peaks and late-afternoon golden hour are when official bays turn over fastest and fill hardest. Midday coach windows create short, intense occupancy spikes; sunset draws phones and overnight visitors at once. Arrive with parking buffer on fine weekends — often 60–90 minutes before your target light — or accept that Plan B is part of the itinerary, not a failure.

Return later is a legitimate strategy: do Loch Ard rim lookouts, swing through Port Campbell, then retry the Apostles precinct when coach turnover frees bays. Never invent verge parking, shoulder stops on blind curves, or “just for five minutes” on grass edges. Official bays only.
